We aim enhance community well-being by improving food security through nutritious meals and promoting healthy eating habits, combating gender-based violence through awareness and dialogue, supporting educational advancement for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and fostering sustainable lifestyles to mitigate climate change.Since the Covid-19 lockdown, Gogo's kitchen has responded to the needs of the Gugulethu community, identifying food security as one of the biggest challenges facing poor Capetonians. Maria Dlokolo and her family feed 350 people two meals per day. It is more than just a feeding scheme, as it provides after-school care and runs clean-up campaigns to teach kids about the value of maintaining and taking ownership of their environment. Gogo's provides a safe space for kids to do their homework and have tutors to assist the children. Because many parents in the area feel ill-equipped to help their kids, Gogo's volunteers try to provide these children with the educational support they need.
